Well, I have said it before, and I will repeat myself again. I believe that one of the most important parts of truely leaving a cult group is to understand how it all happened, and how other cults operate in much the same way.

I also want to say that it is quite common that the initial time after leaving a group, or starting to question a group can for some people be a very hard time. It is normal to be really emotional about such questioning.

For some it might work to get a little professional help to get it all into perspective. For others just having the openness, and the possibility to talk about it might be enough. With this post I just want to make sure that you are aware of as many resources as possible.

In any way, you guys can find a list of online resources below, both as places where you can find more information, or places you can contact should you feel the need for a little more support.

We don't know all who read here, or what their feelings might be about the information and feelings we share here.

I know that when I began my process of detaching from my C/S and questioning my belief in Lazaris that I went through an emotional roller coaster. I was blessed because I had Ted, and my other true and dear friends to hash all this through with.

Ted and I literally spent three months of non-stop conversation, investigation, and evaluation before we each at different moments came to our moment of disbelief.

It was an intense process, and it involved a lot of profound emotion, including confusion, anger, and grief. I don't know what we would have done if we didn't have each other, and the support of our wonderful and loving friends. We might, as individuals, have lost it.

It was Steve Hassan's Freedom of Mind site which first opened me to the thought that C/S operated as a cult, that I had been mind controlled and manipulated for 12 years.

That understanding was freeing for me, because it provided an explanation for issues which had long confused and befuddled me.

So, thank you Malene for providing resources for all of us to access in our process of seeking the truth.

Those posting here have shown themselves to me to be a group of conscientious, committed and sincere seekers. All of us will find our own way, and each of us will be here for each other to support our mutual quest for understanding.

There are many who read here, and for whatever reasons choose not to participate or post. None of us can know how they are reacting to this site. Possibly they too need support but cannot speak up and ask for it, or participate in providing it. These resources may give them the further information, insights, and support they may need to help them form their conclusions about the issues we have raised here. No one more than me knows how potentially confusing, disturbing, and angering they may be to some. Above all, the resources you recommend offer encouragement and support for freedom of thought, a concept worthy of attention and consideration.

Your input is so welcomed, and so much appreciated by me. I know how much time and effort you have put into doing this research and I'm grateful for not only your willingness, but your eagerness to share.
